The Modoc Fire Safe Council builds wildfire resilience by working directly with the people who live here. Through workshops, community cleanups, defensible space assistance, and Firewise USA support, we help residents take practical steps to protect their homes and neighborhoods.

Wildfire preparedness works best as a shared effort. We partner with CAL FIRE, federal agencies, tribes, volunteer fire departments, and property owners associations across Modoc County so that every community has support close to home.
